Job Description:

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programs and policies that meet and exceed corporate cultural objectives
  • Technical Support 24/7 of Critical Baggage Handling System (BHS) Check Baggage Inspection System (CBIS) and Facility Maintenance Systems
  • Lead team performance and execution against all division and corporate maintenance objectives within the Facilities
  • Department. This includes: maintenance customer service level agreement (SLA) compliance, maintenance quality and reliability performance metric execution, all in service level goals / tolerances, planned and preventative maintenance program compliance
  • Partners with all local customer bases ensuring positive customer relations and service level goals achieved.
  • Technical support of United owned and operated Baggage and Facility systems, serving as primary interface for regionally assigned locations
  • Ensures Facility systems meet standards for design, implementation, and acceptance. Coordinates with stakeholders and vendors for design and development of mechanical, electrical, and controls specifications. Includes review and acceptance of project specifications, drawings, and submittals throughout project lifecycle
  • Responsibilities may include: maintenance planning and execution; preventative maintenance and mandatory project program compliance; productivity, accountability and dependability program management; safety and OSHA program compliance; local state & federal environmental code compliance; and (SLA) service level agreement compliance delivering the optimum level of facility maintenance in support of safe and reliable airline operations
  • Support efficient and effective team maintenance operations in a positive, productive and safe work environment for teams with 60+ personnel
  • Document root cause of failure and ensuring best practices are implemented to prevent re-occurring system failures

Job Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to be on call 24-7
  • High school diploma
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Goal setting and execution
  • Position requires 40-50% travel for system support and new system installations
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
  • Must be willing and able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a maintenance or related management
  • Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license
  • Must pass a background check including FAA clearances
